I'll be honest, apraxia of speech is not a disorder I have had much experience with myself. Therefore on this page you will find links to websites and resources that I have researched and found to be helpful. I do have one website/resource (Kaufman Cards or The Kaufman Center) that comes highly recommended to me. You can check it out below.
This particular website is geared toward parents who may suspect their child has apraxia of speech.
This is a great resource for therapists and parents who are looking for an array of information and resources related to apraxia. One of the best things about this website is the library full of articles about understanding apraxia, treatment options, schooling and even insurance information. You can find information about anything related to this topic.
The Kaufman Center is a therapy facility founded by Nancy Kaufman that focuses on speech, language, sensory-motor and social skills therapies. They offer 2 speech praxis kits for therapists or parents who work with children that have apraxia of speech. These cards come highly recommended and could also be used for children with articulation disorders or autism. You can read more about these kits on my resources page or check out their website above. Another site that offers more specific information about each of the kits and also sells them for the same price ($199 each) is www.northernspeech.com.
